
Natural Resources Manager

As the Natural Resources Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Natural Areas team who are accountable for the strategic planning, management and development of Council's bushland reserves, contaminated land, and waterways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Natural Areas team in the development of the strategic direction and long-term planning of natural areas including biodiversity.
- Improve the quality of Council's natural areas assets through the development and implementation of significant capital works programs.
- Manage all natural areas assets to provide maximum benefit to the community while ensuring the long-term viability and sustainability of the asset.
- Liaise with counterparts in the City Assets & Operations directorate to develop and ensure adherence to service standards for maintenance of assets.
- Provide professional and technical advice to Council, senior management and staff.
About You
We are looking for a leader with:
- Degree qualification in either Natural Resource Management, Science, Landscape Architecture or related discipline.
- Class 'C' Driver's License.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering large and complex programs of work.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, achieving high standards, and fostering collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing capabilities.
- Knowledge of the NSW Local Govt. Act as it relates to management of public land.
- Demonstrated experience in contract and procurement management.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret technical designs.
- Strong financial and budget management skills.
- Sound knowledge of employment relations principles and practices.

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $168,170 to $186,439 plus 11.5% superannuation.
