Flexihire Trading as Rapid Equipment Hire are a well-established company that hires construction tools and machines in general building and civil industries. We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our Workshop.

About the role

This role is based at our head office in Kunda Park Maroochydore and reports directly to the Workshop Foreman. The primary role is to apply your knowledge with diagnosing faults, maintaining and servicing the large range of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Workshop/ Field Diesel Fitter the job role will include (but not limited to):

• Trouble shooting, fault finding on large range of machinery
• Repairing large range of machinery (small and large)
• Carrying out Pre-Rental inspections
• Onsite Servicing and Breakdowns
• Liaise with the Workshop Foreman for the scheduling and servicing of rental equipment
• Customer service over the phone and building lasting relationships

Skills & Requirements:

• Extensive Experience on Rollers (Dynapac/Wacker Nueson), Excavators (JCB/Wacker Nueson, Trucks (Isuzu/Fuso), Generators and varying small engine equipment
• Prior construction hire experience preferred
• Positive can-do attitude essential with excellent time management skills
• Strong commitment to excellent customer service
• Excellent attention to detail
• Australian recognized Trade Qualification
• Hold a current Open Drivers Licence (HR licence will be highly regarded)
• Strongly committed to Workplace Health & Safety, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Reliable, self-motivated with good time management skills
• Forklift license (ideal)
• White Construction card
• Ability to work occasional after hours shifts during emergency callouts if required
• Enjoy a fast-paced role in a great team environment
• Ability to perform well under pressure
