The Opportunity Calling all heores!

A well-established labour hire business based south of the river is seeking a pragmatic and hands-on Financial Accountant to join the team on a contract basis until the end of the year. This role will suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, sorting through financial data, and ensuring a clean set of accounts during a time of transformation.

With an ERP system upgrade currently underway, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate, tidy, and audit-ready financial records. You'll be central to the day-to-day accounting function, supporting compliance, reporting, and fixed asset management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the clean-up and reconciliation of historical financial data in preparation for ERP transition.
• Support the finance team with day-to-day transactional accounting and month-end processes.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with BAS, FBT and other tax compliance requirements.
• Support the ERP implementation team by identifying and resolving data issues.
• Provide hands-on support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation where needed.
• Ensure financial data integrity and support ongoing process improvements.

An idea Hero would have:

• Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA or equivalent).
• Strong technical grounding in financial accounting and tax compliance.
• A doer – someone who is practical, can work independently, and is happy to take ownership.
• Demonstrated experience in a hands-on, SME or dynamic environment, ideally during a systems change or business transformation.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using Business Central, Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, or similar large ERP systems (nice to have).
• Ability to adapt and work effectively with operational teams and senior leadership alike.
