About This Opportunity

This is a unique conjoint opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy team at UQ's School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences and the Physiotherapy department at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Metro North Health. This position aims to enhance the research capabilities of both institutions in the area of physiotherapy and will allow you to lead and participate in physiotherapy and interprofessional research aligned with Metro North Health clinical services and research themes of UQ's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. This will involve planning, undertaking and publishing clinically based research activities under the direction of the Head of Physiotherapy, University of Queensland and the Director of Physiotherapy Services, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

In this role, you will be involved in the supervision of UQ's physiotherapy honours, masters and PhD students undertaking research at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. In addition, you will support research, quality assurance and evidence-based practice activities being undertaken at UQ and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and across the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Screening Clinics and Multi-disciplinary Services (MPSC & MDS). The appointee will work with the MPSC & MDS program management team to lead and support the research program of the service, developing and enacting a strategic research plan to continue to advance patient, workforce and health service outcomes statewide.

This opportunity is being offered at Academic Level C or D commensurate with the successful candidate's skills and experience.
