About the Opportunity
Mother Kate’s Early Learning Centre is looking for a full-time Centre Director (Nominated Supervisor) based in Wondai, QLD.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of centre operations, staff leadership, compliance, and community engagement.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with the National Law, Regulations, and NQS
Leading and mentoring a team of educators to build a cohesive and collaborative workplace culture
Driving occupancy growth and community engagement through strategic marketing and enrolment initiatives
Overseeing budgeting, rosters, and staffing to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
Strengthening family and community relationships through clear, consistent, and empathetic communication
Leading centre preparation for Assessment and Rating, ensuring the QIP is actively maintained
Monitoring and maintaining accurate documentation, audits, and policy reviews
Addressing staff performance and team dynamics proactively to foster a positive environment
Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space for children and educators
Liaising regularly with leadership and escalating key matters as required
About You
To qualify, you will need a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or higher), a valid Blue Card/Work with Children Check, along with experience working as a Centre Director or in a similar leadership role within an early learning environment.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
First Aid, including CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis
Child Protection Training
Knowledge of National Law and National Regulations for education and care
Business management and rostering skills
Familiarity with CCS, budgeting, and occupancy planning
Experience working in a regional or close-knit community will be highly regarded, along with the ability to manage diverse personalities and foster a cohesive team culture.

In return for your leadership and commitment, you will receive a competitive total remuneration package ranging from $90,000 to $130,000 inclusive of potential and bonus incentives, based on your qualifications and experience.
