About the role

Wirraminna Care Inc' is seeking a passionate and dedicated Home Care personal care worker to join our dynamic team in Williamstown, South Australia. We provide home care services throughout the Southern Barossa, Hills and Gawler areas. As a casual Home Care employee, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality personal care and support to our elderly community clients, helping them maintain their independence and live comfortably in their own homes.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting

Providing domestic support services like meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry

Transporting/ Accompanying clients to appointments and social activities, offering companionship and emotional support

Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures and safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care

What we're looking for

Previous experience/ Qualification in aged care, disability support or a similar role, preferably in a home-based setting.

A genuine passion for supporting and empowering older adults to retain independence and life safely at home.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

Good IT literacy skills and reliable personal mobile device (required for logging jobs and care reporting).

Demonstrated empathy, patience and a commitment to providing person-centred care

Current First Aid / CPR certification, or a willingness to obtain these

A valid driver's license/ clean driving record and ongoing access to a reliable vehicle is essential
