Family Paediatrics is looking for an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team on a casual basis. You’ll be delivering Medicare-funded health and development checks to children at child care centres, preschools and kindergartens across the Southern and Central suburbs of Adelaide.

This hybrid role includes a combination of on-site visits to early childhood education sites and phone/ telehealth consultations conducted from home, allowing for true flexibility and autonomy.

What You’ll Be Doing

Conduct early childhood health and developmental screenings using validated tools

Complete physical health assessments based on age-specific guidelines

Identify and manage any developmental or physical health concerns, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral

Deliver follow-up phone consultations with parents to discuss outcomes and next steps

Collaborate with early childhood staff and maintain accurate clinical documentation

Support timely early intervention through appropriate referral pathways

What We’re Looking For

Nurse Practitioner with current AHPRA registration and endorsement

Graduate Certificate (or higher) in Maternal, Child and Family Health Nursing or equivalent

Experience in early childhood, paediatrics, or family health

Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills

Ability to work independently, with a professional and family-centred approach

Current SA Working with Children Check and Police Clearance

Own transport and valid driver’s licence (for travel between sites)

Home set-up that allows for confidential phone-based work
