We're looking for a qualified and experienced Boilermaker to join a busy and growing steel fabrication and manufacturing workshop in Salisbury. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of structural steel, custom bolt, and concrete connection projects for major infrastructure and construction clients.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 3:30pm; Friday, 7:00am - 1:00pm
Regular overtime available + occasional Saturday work

About the Role:

You'll be an integral part of the fabrication team, working on both small and large-scale structural components. Duties include:

Interpreting detailed engineering and fabrication drawings

Fabricating and welding structural steel components and assemblies

Working with mild steel, plate, beams, and steel reinforcement products

Operating fabrication machinery including presses, guillotines, and rollers

Performing high-quality MIG welding (flux core and solid wire)

Carrying out pre-weld preparation and post-weld clean-up

Ensuring work meets structural specifications and quality standards

Supporting the team with complex assemblies and general workshop tasks

Maintaining a clean, safe work environment and adhering to all WHS policies

What We're Looking For:

Trade-qualified Boilermaker or Metal Fabricator (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication or equivalent)

Proven experience in heavy steel fabrication and welding

Ability to read and interpret engineering and shop drawings

Strong skills in MIG welding (flux-core and solid wire)

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Forklift licence and/or confined space/working at heights tickets (advantageous)

Positive attitude, team mindset, and strong work ethic
