We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, committed and passionate Cook / Chef (Maternity Leave Cover) to join our team. You must be trained in food handling and experience working within a child care centre would be an advantage.

You will be employed at a Centre that has an excellent reputation and is well established within the community. You will be required to plan and prepare a menu which meets all children's nutritional and dietary needs. You must have a strong work ethic, be punctual, reliable and looking to commit to a long-term role.

A successful applicant will possess the following skills & experience:

Manage the kitchen

Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at a high standard at all times.

Understanding of the National Quality Standards surrounding Kitchen and food preparation.

Experience cooking meals for large numbers

Menu planning in accordance with the centre's nutrition policy and guidelines

Maintain a clean and safe kitchen in accordance with local Council Authority requirements.

Record keeping in compliance with our Food Safety Plan.

Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at a high standard.

To be successful for this position you will require:

Food safety supervisor certificate

Current Working with children’s check

Responsible for all record keeping in relation to regulations and food safety

Prior experience in early childhood education and care settings is favourable
