The Opportunity
Forest Grove Retirement Living, located in Durack, is a large retirement village with 700+ residents and 34 hectares of greenery. As a highly motivated Cook/Kitchenhand working with our team, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to prepare pre-planned daily meal services for our residents. If you have experience as a Cook, Chef, Kitchenhand or enjoy spending time in a kitchen, come and join us!

This is a permanent full-time position working: Monday 9.30-6pm, Tuesday 9.30-6.30pm, Friday 10-6.30pm and Saturday & Sunday 9.30-6pm. Enjoy 1.5x penalty rates on a Saturday and 1.75x penalty rates on a Sunday.

You will

• Prepare and cook daily meal services (e.g chopping vegetables, preparing salads, cook ingredients etc.)
• Monitor food safety plans and ensure the kitchen is adhering to all OH&S standards
• Manage the maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment
• Work with fellow Food & Beverage or Cook/Chef staff to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure food supplies are well-stocked, and rotated properly.

What you'll bring

• Experience in Cook, Chef, Kitchen Hand or restaurant settings
• A friendly and warm persona with a passion for food and chatting with residents!
• Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you!)
• Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
