The Senior Manager, International Student Recruitment is a high-profile leadership role responsible for executing the University’s international recruitment strategy and achieving ambitious enrolment and revenue targets.
Leading a team of experienced professionals across multiple countries, this role plays a critical part in expanding the University’s global reach through strategic partnerships and market engagement.
In this job you will:
- Lead the execution of international recruitment strategies, including market-specific agent plans, to meet enrolment and revenue targets.
- Provide strategic and people leadership to a team of onshore and offshore staff, fostering high performance across different time zones and cultures.
- Represent the University in key international markets, building relationships with agents and partners, and identifying opportunities in emerging regions.
- Provide expert advice and analysis on sector trends, government policy, and emerging risks to support University leadership.
This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land).
How will you inspire us?
You will have:
- Proven experience in international student recruitment, or a strong background in higher education marketing, education agencies, private higher education institutions, or similar.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets and delivering on financial targets.
- Exceptional people leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and manage culturally diverse teams across global locations.
Travel:
While international travel is part of the role, it’s balanced within a supportive team environment. We understand that flexibility matters, and travel commitments can be shared across the team to support a balanced and flexible approach.
What we offer
The remuneration for this position is from $136,030 to $145,745 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

- Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and proven management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Proven experience managing a team using complex corporate systems such as CRMs and student/financial administration databases.
- Demonstrated high level facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage challenging relationships, gain consensus and influence outcomes to establish effective working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory and accreditation environment surrounding the Higher Education sector in Australia including TEQSA, AQF, SSVF, the ESOS framework, National Code, industry accreditation requirements, admissions policies and standards.
