Fuse Recruitment are seeking an experienced Despatch clerk for a 3 day a week part time role based in Alexandria paying $41 p/hr. 6 Months temp to erm with the possibility to move to 5 days a week in the future.
The Client:
An national brand specialising in the liquor industry. Based at their Alexandira head office this role sits in the despatch team and is a vital part of their logistics function.
For you:
- Alexandria location
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday role
- 8:30am to 5pm
- $41 p/hr + Super
- Temp to perm opportunities available for proven performers
- No daily shift confirmation needed from the agency!
The Role: Despatch Clerk
Your role plays a vital part within the logistics team. You will utilise JD Edwards software and will be responsible for the full despatch lifecycle, from setting up daily order picking through to end of day invoicing, Your duties will include:
- Organising the picking teams pick slips for the days orders
- Finalising paperwork and invoices for outgoing stock
- Organizing Con notes
- Customer phone enquiries
- Booking in transport and freight companies for pick up and deliveries
- Liaising with freight companies for delivery ETA times
- Arranging PUDs
- Provide full support in packing area to ensure deliveries go out promptly
- Escalate gaps in dispatch delays and adhere to dispatch schedules
- Ensure dispatched goods meet all requirements including quality, timeframes and labelling
- Organising and preparing pallets for drivers to load into trucks
- General admin and operational support to allocators and warehouse team
- Data entry of invoices, customer order and delivery information
Shift Available:
- 8:30am – 5pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- $41 p/hr
The Candidate:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following:
- 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar dispatch or receiving role, preferably within the logistics or warehousing industry
- Experience with JD Edwards or similar WMS systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and work to deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Sound understanding of inventory control and shipping/receiving processes
- Previous experience liaising with transport and freight companies
- An understanding of invoicing, PUDs and con notes
- Data entry and intermediate Microsoft office experience
- Excellent WHS knowledge
