Your role at St John of God Social Outreach
We are seeking applications for a Clinical Psychologist/Psychologist (Grade 2-3) to join our Mental Health Wellbeing service in Mandurah, on a permanent part-time basis.
We have a multidisciplinary team of 9 clinicians and 2 administrators who specialise across Psychology, Mental Health Occupational Therapy, and creative arts therapy.
This position will support a caseload of around 25 individual clients, with potential for some group work. Part-time shifts will operate over 3 full days per week (one must be a Wednesday).
The Position
- Provides advanced level Psychology services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
- Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client/patient progress adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management.
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary team to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.
- Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to patients/clients, visitors and staff, inclusive of maintaining confidentiality.
- Maintains appropriate clinical records reflecting adherence to hospital policies, ACHS and legal requirements.
- Contributes to the design and implementation of programs relevant to the needs of clients and current clinical practice.
The ideal candidate will have minimum two years demonstrated expertise in both group and individual therapy, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Successful applicants must hold a Tertiary qualification of Psychology with registration as a Psychologist with the Psychologist Board of Australia (AHPRA), and AHPRA endorsement relevant to clinical speciality required by the Division.

We can offer you
- Salary: $126,487 to $146,218 (pro-rata for part-time) plus 11.5% Superannuation
- Permanent part-time, working 22.8 hours per week
