Position Objectives:

Coordinate the day to day operations of the freight & dispatch function, including all packing, unpacking, loading and unloading of all inwards and outwards freight, as well as the timely and accurate maintenance of all freight related documentation.

This position is also required to act in the capacity of ‘workshop-all-rounder’, required to ensure the neat, tidy and organised presentation of the workshop, yard and off-site warehouse as well as the accurate completion of all job related paperwork prior to dispatch.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

· Effectively pack/unpack and load/unload all inwards and outwards freight to ensure adequate protection of customer property.

· Maintain Delivery/Collection Running Sheets and schedule both internal and external freight services.

· Review all Job/Section Cards to ensure their proper completion prior to job dispatch.

· Accurately prepare delivery documentation for and from internal and external freight services.

· Assist in the movement of customer property between delivery, dispatch and workshop areas.

· Ensure that the dispatch area of the workshop is maintained in a neat and orderly manner.

· Ensure all warehouse stock items are accurately accounted for and arranged in an organised and easily accessible manner.

· Actively contribute to the Quality Management System through the application of all approved work processes and the accurate completion of all required documentation.

· Ensure general cleaning duties (including toilets), and yard maintenance tasks, (including mowing / weeding) are undertaken on a regular basis. Also including bead blasting and pressure washing.

· Ensure high levels of personal presentation in order to project a professional, customer focused environment.

· Other duties as reasonably requested from time to time.
