Location: Maddington | Full-Time | Competitive Hourly Rates (Paid Weekly)

Must be ready to work and want to work, this is a full time role, must have own transport as it is not near public transport, must have worked in a fabrication warehouse or workshop and understand tools.

Are you a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail? We’re currently seeking a Trade Assistant to join our dynamic workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside skilled Boilermaker/Welders, contributing to quality outcomes for our valued clients.

You’ll report directly to the Workshop Supervisor and Operations Manager, playing a vital support role in a well-equipped, safety-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Boilermakers/Welders in daily operations

Measure, cut, grind, and drill steel materials as instructed

Clean materials, maintain tools, and perform general workshop upkeep

Operate machinery and equipment in line with safety standards

Support the team with various workshop tasks as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience with hand and power tools (essential)

Familiarity with Metal Bandsaws, Drill Press, Oxy/Plasma Cutting, Punch & Shear

Forklift license (essential)

Experience operating overhead cranes (highly regarded)

Ability to lift up to 20kg manually

Strong initiative, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable

Knowledge of standard OH&S practices

Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times
