EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – Boat Detailer / Labourer

Indigo Boating is a locally owned and operated business that manages and maintains luxury recreational vessels. The staff at Indigo Boating pride themselves on quality workmanship and a reliable service. It is a completely mobile maintenance service that operates out of local marinas and yacht clubs within the Fremantle and metropolitan area.

Indigo Boating is currently seeking a motivated contractor to join the team. The desired applicant must be enthusiastic, hardworking and a reliable team member. This is a great opportunity for anyone pursuing a career in the marine industry or simply has a passion for boats. Full training provided to the right candidate.

Tasks you will be required to perform:

Exterior boat detailing

Gelcoat machine polishing

Hardstand maintenance – sanding, grinding, marking, painting

Engine room detailing

Basic operational checks onboard vessels

Assisting with lines and vessel movements

Sanding and teak work

Required skills and qualifications:

Must have Australian Business Number (ABN)

Current WA driver’s license

Physically fit and healthy

Good presentation and communication skills

An eye for detail a high degree of pride in their work

Desired attributes:

Experience on boats

Detailing and marine experience

Ability to work in a team

Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

Indigo Boating will provide all tools and safety equipment.
Indigo Boating will provide a work vehicle after 3-month probation period.

Must be an ABN holder.
Starting rate on ABN $38 per hr. Hourly rate will be re assessed after 3-month probation period.
