The Rowing Pavilion is on the lookout for an experienced, people-focused Assistant Venue Manager to join our leadership team in one of Perth’s most iconic waterfront venues.

Perched on the banks of the Canning River, The Rowing Pavilion is known for its seasonal menus, strong ties to local producers, and a service style that’s warm, fast, and full of personality. We host everything from weekend brunches and midweek sundowners to packed-out wine nights and private events.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the Venue Manager to run daily operations smoothly

Leading floor and bar teams during service with confidence and clarity

Supporting training, onboarding, and development of staff

Assisting with rostering, stock control, compliance, and venue presentation

Owning the delivery of events and activations—from intimate wine tastings to major functions

What We’re Looking For:

Prior experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in hospitality

A natural leader who’s calm under pressure, thrives in busy environments, and knows how to lift a team

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Passion for great food, drinks, and high-quality guest service

Current RSA and Approved Manager certification (or ability to obtain quickly)
