We seek an accountant ideally with 2-5 years experience in accounting business services or similar (taxation), though are willing to consider adapting the position to less experience for an appropriate candidate as we value ability to learn over pure experience.

Position may commence upon discovery of a suitable applicant. So don't hold off!

The position will train you in the use of Xero accounting software.

Salary is reviewed annually to reflect improvement/development and standards.

We are comfortable with some work from home days once skills have developed (built into the workplace more) and can be flexible to various situations.

Your daily duties will include, but not be limited to:

❖ Working with accounting software including but not limited to Xero (predominantly), MYOB, Reckon & Quickbooks

❖ Tax Return Preparation

❖ Bookkeeping

❖ Business Registration

❖ Audits

❖ Bank Reconciliation and Business Activity Statement preparation

❖ Various accounting work ranging from preparation of financial accounts to assisting with tax planning ensuring all tax legislations are adhered to;

❖ Attending relevant client meetings

❖ Writing accounting based content for public use such as website blogs

❖ Attend and participate in regular training sessions to maintain and improve technical knowledge;

❖ Review of client files to ensure they meet the business standard;

❖ Ensure all the business policies and procedures are followed at all times to the best of your ability;

❖ Ensure the business database is updated to the best of your knowledge;

❖ Ensure all correspondence, internally and externally, is professional and in a way that best represents the business;
