We have a great opportunity for an Auto Electrical Mechanic to join our dedicated team based onsite at the Nauru Regional Processing Centre.

As an Auto Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring the electrical components of the motor vehicles at the Nauru Regional Processing Centre. This is a FIFO position flying from Brisbane to Nauru, working a 4/4 roster.

In your new role, you will:

Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring and electronic components in facility motor vehicles including passenger and commercial vehicles

Perform electronic diagnostics on vehicles to identify faults

Repair damaged parts, units, malfunctions or deficiencies with the vehicle or machinery

Perform checks and tests to verify the success of repair work

Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts inventory

Build and maintain a productive working relationship with team members, and stakeholders

Attend regular training and refresher sessions to maintain skills and qualifications including but not limited to cultural awareness, mental health, CPR and first aid

To be successful, you will:

Have a Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology

Auto electrical and mechanical knowledge including knowledge of diagnostics tools for vehicle electrical and electronics

Hold or willing to obtain and working with children certification

Ability to undertake and pass preemployment checks such at Australian Federal Police Check, full physical and health assessment

Provide evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 (double vaccinated)
