Who we are;
Wyong Golf Club is situated on the beautiful NSW Central Coast and only a 15-minute drive from the M1 Pacific Motorway, Wyong exit. At Wyong Golf Club we pride ourselves on delivering the best service and experience to our customers and do everything we can to make sure our customers leave happy. We have a mixture of members and guests from the golfing community and general public. We aim to please in all aspects of the Club.
Main Duties;
Provide and coordinate daily provision of food to members through the clubs restaurant, bar and functions
Oversight of the day-to-day control of food production ensuring that the output is of exceptional quality and presentation
Maintaining stock control, wastage levels, and food costs within budget
Preparing and supporting the Head Chef to produce menu items for particular outlets within the club
Working collaboratively with the food and beverage team and other departments contributing to building and leading a positive and harmonious working environment
Position Objective;
This position is for a PT Chef, with the prospect of advancing to Full Time in the future. A candidate is being sought for a position that involves providing coverage for other kitchen staff during periods when they are unavailable due to sick leave, annual leave, or when the club requires additional support. This type of role typically requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances in a kitchen environment. The candidate should have experience and skills relevant to kitchen operations to ensure they can seamlessly step in to assist when needed. This might involve cooking, food preparation, cleaning, and other tasks depending on the specific needs of the kitchen and the club.
The Person;
The position is ideal for someone who has great knowledge of food and beverage operations and/or practices, and is available for an immediate start. High standards of customer service are essential for this role. This person needs to be a team player whilst possessing the skills to work as an individual. They will take pride in their work and continually set high standards for the club and your peers. You must be available to work split shifts and weekends.
Essential Requirements;
Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery
Food Safety Certificate
Experience with food preparation for functions and events
Strong knowledge of Work, Health and Safety, and Food and Hygiene practices
Understanding of stock control and ordering processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible working conditions.
Ability to work split shifts and weekends.
Full working rights in Australia
Desired Requirements
Previous experience and/or understanding of the Club Industry
Tertiary qualifications
Computer literacy skills
RSA & RSG
