- Assist patients and their carers' with any questions or concerns about their procedure
- Monitoring a patient's vital signs; critically analysing any changes, and then reporting and acting on those findings
- Administer sedation in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies
- Assist with medical and diagnostic procedures carried out in the unit, inclusive of all modalities in both a scrub and scout role
- Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings within the framework of nursing progress
- Responds to clinical changes in patients conditions and initiates consultation with relevant medical/nursing and multi-disciplinary team as required. Seeks guidance from senior nurse when limited by own level of expertise
- A bachelor degree in general nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Current Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Previous Medical Imaging Experience
- Current National criminal history check or willing to obtain

About the Role
You will be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical nursing care in Medical Imaging, across all modalities including procedure scrub and scout roles as well as admissions and recovery of our patients. You will rotate through every modality in Medical Imaging including CT, Ultrasound, PET, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine and DSA across all four sites. You will also be required to partake in the Medical Imaging on-call nursing roster.

Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum).

About Medical Imaging
Medical Imaging provides diagnostic and interventional imaging to both St Vincent's public and private hospitals. The Medical Imaging Nurse works as part of the multidisciplinary to provide nursing care for these patients across all four sites.
