Join Our Care Team as a Practice Nurse (RN, EN)

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care? SunLife Skin Cancer Care Centre is looking for a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our close-knit Clinical Care Team!

About the Position

We’re offering a part-time role, 4 days (34 hours) per week. Interviews are underway, and the position is available for an immediate start.

Shift Information

Shifts vary between 6:30am-4:00pm, Tuesday to Friday, and 8:00am-6:00pm on Monday.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Work part-time, 4 days per week, on a fixed roster

Assist doctors with excisions and procedures, including skin flaps and grafts

Provide wound care, dressings, and suture removal

Operate advanced services, including 3D Total Body Photography, Red and White Light Photodynamic Therapy (training provided)

Clean and sterilise surgical instruments

Support doctors with patient flow and note-taking

Organise and maintain clinical areas

Educate patients on wound care and skin cancer prevention

Manage stock control

About You:

What You Bring:

Current AHPRA registration as an RN or EN

Minimum 1-2 years of clinic/practice experience (skin cancer experience is a bonus!)

Key Skills:

Strong understanding of sterile processes and infection control

Experience in routine and/or complex wound care

Proficiency in medical software and adaptability to new systems/devices

Commitment to practice processes, with a continuous improvement mindset

Professional presentation and a caring approach to patient relationships

Self-motivation, initiative, and a keen eye for detail

Ability to remain proactive and engaged during quieter periods
