About the role

Bennco Engineering is seeking a skilled and experienced FIFO - Shutdown Industrial Painter / Blaster to join our team in Paraburdoo, for ongoing SHUT WORK. This is a casual position, offering the opportunity to work on short-term, project-based assignments within the mining industry.

Ongoing Shut work

What you'll be doing

Performing high-quality industrial painting and blasting work during planned plant shutdowns and maintenance periods

Preparing surfaces by abrasive blasting and cleaning in accordance with specifications

Applying protective coatings and paints to a variety of industrial equipment and structures

Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards

Collaborating with the wider project team to deliver successful shutdown and maintenance outcomes

What we're looking for

Several years' experience as an industrial painter/blaster, ideally within the mining or resources sector

Proficient in the use of abrasive blasting, airless spray painting and other specialist painting equipment

Rio Tinto Qualified & Inducted (Essential)

Trade Certificated (Essential)

Cert 3 in Surface Preparation

NACE Accredited (Desired)

Working at heights (Essential)

Confined Space (Essential)

Fire Training (Essential)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Current FIFO rosters and site access clearances are highly desirable
