About the role

Heidelberg Materials, a leading provider of building materials, is seeking multiple (10+) HR Concrete Drivers to join their team in Brisbane and surrounding southern areas. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work for a respected and growing organisation in the road transport industry. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided.

What you'll be doing

Safely operating concrete mixer trucks to deliver concrete to construction sites across Brisbane and southern Queensland locations

Communicating effectively with construction site personnel to ensure on-time and accurate concrete deliveries

Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain the safety and roadworthiness of the vehicle

Adhering to all relevant road traffic regulations and Heidelberg Materials' safety policies and procedures

Providing excellent customer service to Heidelberg Materials' valued clients

What we're looking for

A commitment to safety and a strong focus on delivering high-quality service

Excellent driving skills and the ability to operate large commercial vehicles

Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with construction site personnel

Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, as required

A valid HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's licence

What we offer

Heidelberg Materials is committed to providing an excellent employee experience. In this role, you can expect:

$29.73ph plus penalties (rate X 1.5 after 8 hours, rate X 2.0 after 10 hours). The rate increases to $30.72 after 12 months.

Most days will start between 4am and 6am and drivers can do up to and over 10 hours per day, and around 50 – 55 hours per week. Saturday work is generally available, paid at overtime rates, we pay a base rate and once you go past your regular hours in one day the first two after that will be at time and a half. If you do more than 2 hours overtime in a day, you go to double time. Meal allowances are generally paid after 10 hours in one shift
