Our client is delivering critical infrastructure projects across Australia – from substations to solar and wind farms, and cutting-edge battery storage solutions. We’re seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team and play a key role in securing the next generation of energy projects.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for managing the full estimating lifecycle for major electrical infrastructure projects. Working closely with our engineering, procurement and project delivery teams, you’ll ensure the accuracy, competitiveness and timeliness of all submissions – while mentoring junior estimators and contributing to business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

· End-to-end estimating process, ensuring accurate and competitive costings.

· Oversee preparation of tenders, RFQs, and proposals across all aspects of the electrical, instrumentation and renewables industries in both construction, service and maintenance sectors.

· Identify and manage risks, ensuring all proposals align with company policies and market competitiveness.

· Work closely with operations to target key clients and opportunities, integrate with the greater Genus estimating unit.

· Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

· Contribute to strategic growth by bringing market insights and commercial thinking to the table.

· Mentor and guide junior estimators, fostering a high-performing estimating function.

About You

· 5+ years of experience in a senior or lead estimating role

· Strong technical and operational electrical knowledge base.

· Proven track record in winning tenders and preparing complex project costings.

· Strong business development mindset, with the ability to engage clients and contribute to revenue growth.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

· Proficient IT skills, experience in estimating software (Winest) and scheduling is an added bonus.

· Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
