Role Overview:

In this role as an exercise physiologist, you will deliver high-quality services to paediatric patients, ensuring the highest standards of care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting assessments and developing individualised treatment plans for paediatric patients with a variety of physical challenges and conditions.
• Delivering hands-on movement interventions, exercises, and treatments to children of all ages, from toddlers to adolescents.
• Engaging in community home visits or carrying out therapy in a range of environments, such as the pool, park, school and kindy.
• Assisting with equipment trials and prescription for children with disabilities within the NDIS framework.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists and physicians, to ensure holistic care for patients.
• Participating in team meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Exercise Physiology
• Registration with ESSA
• Experience in or a keen interest and willingness to learn in the field of paediatric physiotherapy.
• A caring and compassionate nature and a love for children and play!
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
