Position Summary / Purpose

Solarbank Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and results-driven Energy Advisor to support growth in our residential solar and battery installation business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, with an interest in the solar industry, and possess the ability to engage customers with tailored energy system solutions.

This sales role will be focused on conversion only. The Energy Advisor will be presented with warm leads and their sole responsibility will be conversion. No cold outreach or lead generation will be required. Compensation will be aligned with conversion.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Business Growth

Proactively drive sales of solar panel and battery systems for residential customers.

Prepare and present detailed proposals, including cost-benefit analyses and system performance estimates.

Manage the sales pipeline, from initial inquiry through to contract signing and project delivery.

Identify new business opportunities for the management team to consider (e.g. leveraging industry networks).

Sales Operations Excellence

Maintain accurate and detailed customer records in Solarbank’s CRM system.

Track sales performance against targets, reporting to the Director with insights and recommendations.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Address customer queries and concerns, ensuring satisfaction and confidence in Solarbank’s solutions.

Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and legislative changes to identify opportunities and threats.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

Essential

Demonstrated success in sales positions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.

Proficiency in using CRM systems to manage leads and customer information.

Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for renewable energy.

Current motor vehicle driver’s license.

Desirable

Knowledge of residential solar and battery systems, including a practical understanding of home energy system design and installation.

Knowledge of relevant Australian standards and regulations for solar installations.

Qualifications in sales, marketing, or renewable energy are advantageous.
