Forrest Engineering P/L is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Manager to join our team in Sutherland Shire, NSW servicing Sites throughout the greater Sydney area. In this full-time role, you will provide critical support to our Project Managers, contributing to the successful delivery of construction projects. With your strong organisational skills and attention to detail, you will play a key role in ensuring our projects run smoothly from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

Assist the Project Managers in planning, organising and coordinating all aspects of construction projects

Monitor project timelines, budgets and resources to identify and resolve any issues

Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns

Maintain detailed project documentation and records

Support the Project Managers with on-site assistance, photographs and site records

Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or similar role in the construction industry

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders

Proficient in using project management software and other relevant digital tools

Advanced computer and AI skills

Knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards and quality control processes

Experience in Remedial Building Works, both office and on-site, would be a significant advantage

About us

Forrest Engineering P/L has operated for over 40 years in the Engineering Consultancy space. This role is targeted to assist existing Project Managers in the development of a recently created division which specifically services the Remedial Works for Defects in Class 2 Building - Strata Unit projects. This Division requires unique protocols to address complex requirements under the relevant Acts. The applicant will need to be comfortable in brief on-site roles and interaction with external contractors. We will always provide direct on-site support at all times.
