We have opportunities available for 1st year Manufactured Textile Products Apprentice in Cairns to start immediately. This is a great opportunity to commence your apprenticeship in a busy team environment.

Some tasks that you will learn as an Apprentice Textile Fabricator include:

Translating information into measurements and diagrams

Identify and select canvas and sail materials

Use canvas and sail production tools

Use industrial sewing equipment on textile products

Use industry-standard design programs

Dedicated Employment Officer to mentor and guide you through your apprenticeship.

To be successful for this apprenticeship you must:

Be able to work in a team environment and be motivated to succeed.

Have a genuine interest in the textile industry including canvas goods and/or sail making.

Be punctual and show initiative.

Have good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Be comfortable working at heights

Hold a current driver’s license and have your own vehicle.
