About the Position and us

The Wheelman is a long established family owned Company celebrating 25 years in the wheel repair industry. Our strengths are in the lengths we go to in our service model, our pursuit of perfection and ‘obviously’, the right people

Utilising our own TradeMarked wheel repair and refinishing system, quality materials and only Qualified Cert III Technicians, our strive for perfection is recognised across Australia as the premium repairer of Alloy Wheels in car dealerships, auction houses and private customers.

We are now returning to our roots and aim to get back into mobile paint and panel to compliment our wheel repair expertise - bumpers, chips, small scratches, plastics, mirrors AND wheels.

The Technicians role is heavily supported with a Supervisor, a National Technical Manager and an Admin team, enabling the Technician to focus on meeting and greeting the customer, repairing and taking payment, our well trained Admin team take care of the rest.

What you will Bring

An Automotive Cert III or Trades Certificate in Automotive Paint Refinishing

Sound knowledge and understanding of Automotive Refinishing

Ability to operate a mini air sander/grinder with airbrush experience an advantage

Neat and tidy Appearance, polite and can communicate well with customers and fellow employees

Easy going and friendly attitude

Problem solving

Enjoys being out of the Shop, driving to different locations and wants out of the sausage factory attitude

Opportunities for advancement

A Wheel repairer, Scratch and dent Repairer or Spray Painter / Panel Beater will excel in this role and the freedom the role provides.

Knowledge of plastics repair and minor scratch and dent repairs will also hold you in good stead.

For the right person, you may have the opportunity to lead a team of vans into the future in a State or National position, however the role will commence with learning our Wheel Repair process, continue into a scratch and dent van and then (with a little help and guidance), the future is what you’d like to make it

Salary: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 /year plus super and bonuses
