We are a civil and earthworks contractor seeking an experienced Trenching & Cable Laying Operator to join our team. You’ll work on subdivision, infrastructure and site development projects involving underground cable installation and trenching operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate trenchers, excavators and hand tools to dig, backfill and compact trenches

Install underground conduit, draw wire and assist with cable pulling and laying

Read and follow site plans, cable routes and marking instructions

Ensure safe work practices around existing utilities and underground services

Coordinate with site supervisor, electricians and other trades on site

Maintain tools and equipment used for trenching and cable work

Requirements:

White Card (Construction Induction) – required

Experience with trenching and underground cable installation

Able to operate machinery such as trenchers, mini-excavators, compactors

Basic understanding of underground utility layouts

Physically fit and able to work in outdoor construction environments
