We are looking for a Counsellor/Case Manager (Children) to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by family violence. This role is focused on delivering trauma-informed, age-appropriate counselling services to individuals and families, with children’s needs and safety at the centre of all work.
As a Counsellor/Case Manager (Children), you will provide therapeutic interventions and assessments, contribute to internal education on best practices, and work collaboratively with external partners. You will play a vital role in supporting the safety, recovery, and resilience of children and families.
Do you Fit the bill
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology or similar, with qualifications in trauma counselling and professional registration eligibility.
- At least two years’ experience providing trauma-informed counselling to children, individuals and families affected by family violence.
- Knowledge of trauma, developmental theory, family systems, and family violence frameworks.
- Strong psychoeducation and training skills to support peers and deliver internal guidance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to engage with a broad range of clients and stakeholders.
Benefits
- Salary starting from $ 87,017 to $ 94,867 + Super / *Pro-rata
- Subject to your qualifications and years of relevant experience, a 5% loading may be applicable for this role

The Counsellor/Case Manager (Children) role is offered as a part-time, 12-month fixed-term contract, with days negotiable for the right candidate.
