What you'll do:

As a Senior Software Developer, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your day-to-day activities involve engaging closely with internal business customers to elicit requirements, designing robust solutions that adhere to industry best practices, and building scalable applications that support both operational excellence and strategic initiatives. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the team by championing modern SDLC approaches such as Agile and DevOps.

You'll also be involved in:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain both new and existing web-based as well as client/server applications to meet evolving business needs.
• Apply fixes, upgrades, and enhancements to applications based on user feedback while maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the process
• Deliver core application management, maintenance, and support services in line with agreed service levels to ensure system reliability and performance
• Lead efforts in the continuous improvement of modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices such as Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Offer technical advice to team members, fostering an environment of shared learning and mutual support within the group.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues by assisting in their professional development and encouraging best practice adoption across projects.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation that can enhance current solutions or introduce new capabilities.
• Undertake other duties as directed by management to support the overall goals of the IT division.

What you bring:

• Great understanding of contemporary software development lifecycle practices including Agile methodologies and DevOps principles is required
• ITIL Certification or practical experience applying ITIL processes would be advantageous but not mandatory for this role.
• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives within SDLC processes through collaborative engagement with peers is important
• Proficiency across a range of computing tools including word processing applications, spreadsheets, databases, internet resources, and email systems is required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the design of enterprise-grade solutions while providing technical direction within project teams is highly valued.
