We’re a brand new strength-training gym located in Northgate, Brisbane.
We operate 40.5 hours per week (Monday to Saturday) – which means you could coach as little as 3.5 or up to 20 hours per week, based on your availability & needs.
Our operating hours are 0530-0830 Mon-Fri and 0700-0900 Saturday.
Our sessions run for 60 minutes, and we are strictly group-only - you could be coaching anywhere from 1 to 18 members per session, depending on attendance.
WHAT WE DO
Our training is strength-only, which means you should be able to:
Coach a complete newbie to a safe squat standard
Help a more experienced member improve their deadlift
We pride ourselves on our ability to interact with members on a human level because our members are everyday people, not athletes or robots - so you need to be able to hold a decent conversation for more than 15 seconds.
WHO YOU NEED TO BE
Our coaches need to walk the walk & talk the talk, here's what we're looking for:
Experience with squat, bench press & deadlift - enough to improve a member’s technique and earn their trust
General gym-floor experience - dumbbells, cables, bodyweight work, etc
We don’t care about your resume or shiny qualifications (beyond the bare legal requirements).
We care about your ability to coach, connect, and ensure members leave the session better than they came in
WHAT WE'LL DO FOR YOU
We know the role is tough at first - we don’t expect mastery on Day 1.
You'll get weekly 1-on-1 development in:
Group instruction
Voice projection
Session flow and group-training delivery
Lift-specific technical education
Guidance & support you so you can become a better coach, deliver better service, and earn more
THE JOB DETAILS
Induction process: 8 hours across 2 weeks (paid at $20/hour). You choose what days/times suit you.
Subcontractor role: You’ll need an ABN and invoice fortnightly
Written agreement on coaching hours after the induction so that you have job security and we have coach stability
2-month performance review with opportunity for a pay rise
If you're already a PT, you can train your own clients at the gym for free during non-operating hours
