What you'll be doing
As a Clinical Psychologist within our Child, Adolescent and Youth Mental Health PEIRS team, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering expert, evidence-based mental health care to young people and their families.
We’re looking for a candidate with experience in working in mental health with the 12–24 year old population, who is passionate about making a genuine difference to young people’s lives.
- Provide specialist psychological assessment, intervention, and case management in individual and group settings.
- Deliver education and consultation to families, service providers and partner agencies
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical policy and model of care development.
- Initiate or participate in research projects and integrate evidence-based practice
- Support workforce capability through clinical supervision, training and professional development activities.

How to Apply

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
- Registration: Full registration as Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA and endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to progress to endorsement.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated skills and clinical experience in Mental Health in a community setting including working with children/families who present with moderate to severe emotional and behavioural problems.
- Demonstrated evidence based skills in the assessment, early intervention and treatment of children and their families presenting with complex mental health issues in a developmental framework.
- Demonstrated experience and high level skills in the use of a range of standardised psychometric tools administered as a part of a comprehensive assessment of clients referred to the service.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and ability to build therapeutic relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with other service providers to achieve optimal outcomes for children and families.
- Current valid NSW drivers licence and willing to use for work purposes.
