Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate a team of staff in a residential placement, providing care, guidance, and support to vulnerable First Nations young people in out-of-home care. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the young people we care for.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and lead a team of staff in a residential placement.

Provide one-on-one support and mentoring to young people, addressing individual needs and helping them develop essential life skills.

Facilitate activities and programs that promote personal development, social skills, and healthy living.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including allied and therapeutic supports, families, schools, and community organisations.

Maintain accurate case notes and records; contribute to service monitoring and evaluation.

Support the overall wellbeing of young people in care.

Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant qualifications in youth work, community services, child and family intervention, social work, psychology, or a related field.

Experience working with young people, ideally in residential, community services, or youth development settings.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust.

Understanding of challenges faced by young people and a commitment to empowering them.

Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Current driver’s licence and willingness to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
