About the role

As a Design Delivery Manager, you are responsible for leading multidisciplinary internal and external design teams to deliver comprehensive design solutions, including structural, civil, hydraulic, and mechanical disciplines, across the entire company, while ensuring alignment and maintaining high quality standards across both regulated and unregulated projects. In this role, you will serve as a team leader, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities for the team, while driving quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across all design deliverables. You will also encourage your team to drive innovation initiatives aimed at enhancing design practices and improving efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

The role contributes to Endeavour Energy’s strategic objectives by enhancing network resilience, enabling renewable integration, and supporting the advancement of innovative, sustainable design practices.

Key accountabilities

• Provide clear strategic direction and foster a supportive, high-performing team environment.
• Champion safety and sustainability by embedding these principles into all design practices and team activities.
• Lead efficient project delivery by managing risks, ensuring quality, and promoting innovative, standardised engineering solutions.
• Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through new technologies, process enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure engineering designs meet all compliance, quality, and technical standards through robust review and oversight.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align designs with business goals and influence industry best practices.
• Support team growth by identifying development needs and providing coaching, training, and mentoring.

About you

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering (or a closely related Engineering discipline)

Desirable qualifications

• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation or equivalent, (or ability to obtain within 12 months)

Desirable experience

• 8-10 years of High Voltage substation design experience
• Advanced understanding of standards (e.g. AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 1684, AS 1170, AS 2067)
• Leading a design team

Licences / tickets

• C Vehicle licence up to 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass (GVM)
• Green Card Workcover Induction for Construction Work - General Course
