About Unison

Unison is a not-for-profit organisation that works to reduce disadvantage and social exclusion. We believe that affordable housing is the foundation on which to build a life of value but that a good life takes more than just housing. A good life takes place in a community. Unison also assists over 3,500 people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness each year across Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, Geelong and Werribee.

About the role

Our Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) team are responsible for triaging, providing information to, and supporting people to receive services through the Homelessness Service System. As an IAP Worker, you’ll be helping people by providing them with access to crisis and transitional housing, support, rentals and financial assistance.

About you

If you are an empathetic, calm communicator, resilient and who people tend to look to in a crisis, we’d love to hear from you. You are driven to help others and have an ability to look beyond challenging words and behaviours to get to the root of a problem in a way that leaves people feeling supported and listened after their experience with Unison.

On Offer

This role falls under SCHADS Level 4 with an hourly rate of approximately $55 per hour including 25% casual loading (plus super).
