
Participation and Women's Football Officer - Regional

Reporting to the General Manager – Participation and Women’s Football, the Participation and Women’s Football Officer will support develop, coordinate and implement the suite of sustainable programs and services throughout NNSW which aim to recruit and retain females and individuals from other identified underrepresented groups.
In the area of Community Football, Northern NSW Football in collaboration with our Member Zones, Clubs, Volunteers and other stakeholders aims to implement programs of excellence which aim to optimise the participation and enjoyment of players, coaches, and volunteers at the grassroots of the Sport throughout Northern NSW.
Please Note:
• We are looking or applicants from all across regional NNSW including Far North Coast, North Coast, Mid Coast and Northern Inland.
• This is NOT a coaching role.
What will you be doing as Participation and Women’s Football Officer:
• Coordinate programs & activities that promote female participation in off field roles throughout the Northern NSW football family.
• Coordinate initiatives in collaboration with Member Zones and clubs to build capacity and create inclusive and welcoming environments for females and underrepresented groups. Linking with clubs women and girls action plans incorporated in the Football Australia Club Changer Program.
• Lead the establishment and growth of modified, non-traditional and program-based participation opportunities for Women & Girls, members of CALD communities and athletes with disabilities.
• Assist Football Australia in delivering relevant National programs to NNSWF communities.
• Regular evaluation of programs and services delivered by NNSWF to ensure they are meeting the needs and expectations of participants and stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Increase in the number of female players registered across Northern NSW.
• Increase the number of female coaches obtaining new qualifications or attending development workshops and courses annually.
• Increase in the number of players from under-represented populations registered across Northern NSW.
• Increase the number of participation programs specifically targeting females at community clubs.
• Increase the number of clubs participating in introductory football programs.
About you:
• An understanding and awareness of NNSW’s diverse communities and the associated barriers to participation in football.
• Proven experience working in community sport or inclusion and diversity community projects or activities – Desirable.
• Knowledge of the structure of football within Northern NSW.
• Strong interest in football.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly written and presentation.
• Proven and successful track record of engendering the support of volunteers.
• High-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office;
• Drivers licence; and
• Current ‘paid’ NSW Working with Children Check or willingness to gain one.
