How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne
The City of Melbourne is seeking a skilled and committed Team Supervisor – Parking to lead a team of Parking Compliance Officers in delivering fair, safe and effective kerbside parking management. This is a key leadership role suited to someone with strong operational expertise and a clear focus on community outcomes.
The Community and City Services Division places people, families and communities at the centre of its work, striving to create a liveable, healthy and inclusive city for all. Within this division, the Parking Services Branch manages access to on-street parking by shaping policy, delivering education and enforcement, and promoting equitable use of kerbside space.
The Team Supervisor – Parking oversees the daily performance and development of a designated team, ensuring services are delivered consistently and professionally. The role supports the Parking Compliance Coordinator in maintaining high standards of education-led enforcement and upholding local and state parking laws. A strong focus on team leadership, customer service and operational coordination is essential.

Selection Criteria (What you will bring..)

Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high performance outcomes with coaching skills to develop team capabilities and team cohesion
Undertake on road supervision and enforcement duties year-round whilst adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety policies and guidelines.
Under the direction of the Parking Compliance Coordinator, ensure coordination of team resources to effectively and efficiently deliver parking compliance activities and services across the municipality, and to meet team performance objectives.
Use systems, including but not limited to: electronic handheld devices, licence recognition systems and in-ground sensor technology, to detect non-compliance and issue infringement notices.
Recommend and participate in the review and development of branch policies, procedures and guidelines.
