About Us:
Hunt Community Child Care Centre is a community-driven not-for-profit early childhood centre in Brighton, proudly rated as Exceeding under the National Quality Standard. Our 47-place centre is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where children thrive, and educators are valued.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator to support our teams across all age groups (0–5 years). This role involves collaborating with educators in various rooms, ensuring consistency and quality in our programs, and fostering strong relationships with children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in delivering high-quality educational programs across multiple age groups, including Beach Kinder, Intergenerational Music and other excursions, as required.

Support educators in daily routines, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.

Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning experiences.

Uphold the centre's policies and the National Quality Framework standards.

Attend monthly staff meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).

Minimum of 12 months' experience working with multi-aged groups in an early childhood setting.

Current Working with Children Check.

First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to child safety.

Sound verbal and written English skills.

Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Retention Grant Participation (Pending): We have applied for the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Worker Retention Payment, providing a 10% wage increase from December 2024, with an additional 5% increase from December 2025.
