About the role

Alto Water & Environmental is seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team in Katherine, NT. This is a full-time position where you'll play a crucial role in supporting our team by maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing electrical and instrumentation systems across various water and wastewater projects throughout the Northern Territory.

What you’ll be doing

Installing, calibrating, and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems for water treatment and monitoring equipment

Troubleshooting faults and performing corrective and preventative maintenance on a variety of plant and field-based equipment

Assisting with the commissioning of new systems and upgrades of existing infrastructure

Performing inspections, testing, and recording of equipment performance to ensure operational compliance

Ensuring all work is carried out in line with WHS standards and company procedures

Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to deliver high-quality service

Participating in on-call rotations and attending to urgent site-based issues as required

What we’re looking for

Certificate III or higher in Electrical or Instrumentation (or equivalent qualification)

Current NT Electrical Licence and White Card

Experience in industrial, water, or environmental systems is highly regarded

Sound knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a proactive work ethic

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a field-based environment

Valid driver’s license
