About the role

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Powder Coater Assistant to join the team at The Cruiser Company in Pakenham, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for assisting the Powder Coater in efficiently carrying out the powder coating process for various metal components and products.

What you'll be doing

Preparing metal parts and components for powder coating by grinding, sanding and cleaning as required

Loading parts and components into the powder coating booth and assisting the sand blaster

Monitoring the powder coating process to ensure the correct parts are hung and prepped

Maintaining the powder coating booth and equipment, including regular cleaning and minor maintenance

Working closely with the Powder Coater and sand blaster to ensure all parts are ready and correct to be powder coated.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a powder coating or similar manufacturing role, with a good understanding of the powder coating process

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict quality control procedures

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to problem solve and be extremely organised.

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
