We’re looking for a motivated Town Maintenance Operator to join our dedicated team and help keep our community looking its best. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic crew that plays a vital role in maintaining the town’s parks, streets, and public spaces
What You’ll Be Doing:
Maintain and operate plant in a safe manner to maintain parks and reserve to Council’s required standards, and perform duties as required;
Maintain the town to a required standard by cleaning and maintaining public toilets, maintain pedestrian vegetation window, control of weeds, sweeping gutters, slashing and moving of public and Council areas, grave digging and clearing drains;
Work as part of the Maintenance team ensuring tasks are performed to a quality standards, and work health and safety requirements are met;
Communicate with members of the public, fellow staff and Overseers in accordance with Council’s Code of Conduct and refer any issues raised onto the appropriate level of staff to ensure they are followed up and addressed.
What You’ll Need:
Australian Drivers Licence – minimum MR and ability to maintain
Internal Plant Operation Competency
Construction Induction Card
Implement Traffic Control Plans qualification

This is a full-time position classified at Grade C Entry under Council’s current salary structure with a salary range based on qualifications and experience from Grade C Entry $60,206.00 to $67,762.00 per annum, plus 11.5% statutory superannuation and a 76-hour 9-day fortnight. Conditions are in accordance with Local Government (State) Award 2023.
