Exciting opportunity for a Senior Dental Technician to lead the Acrylic department in a multidisciplinary team. Mentor, supervise, & share expertise.

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the Dental Technician Level 4 position is to assist in the daily operations, management, and administration of the allocated portfolio within the Prosthetic Laboratory Department. The role is required to oversee and coordinate daily tasks assigned to Laboratory Staff and to ensure productivity and efficiency in achieving performance targets.

Essential Requirements
- At least 6 years’ experience as a registered dental technician and maintains relevant registration; and successfully completed qualifications deemed by the Employer to be equivalent to the Advance Diploma of Dental Prosthetics (these may include qualifications in ceramics, orthodontics, implants, crowns etc).
Equivalency is to be assessed based upon the hours of study undertaken and the complexity of the course work; and show a high level of competency in the exercise of all the skills of the recognised training in accordance with the position requirements.
Selection Criteria
- Proficiency in dental laboratory conventional as well as computer-aided design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM).
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring junior staff within the allocated portfolio.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with primary internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to meet pre-determined targets and deadlines.
- Experience in continuous improvement, quality initiatives and implementing systems to provide high quality and excellent customer service.
- Successfully completed the Diploma of Dental Technology, having at least 6 years' experience as a dental technician and relevant qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent to the Advance Diploma of Dental Prosthetics.
- Show a high level of competency in the exercise of all the skills of the recognised training in accordance with the position requirements.
