Randstad is looking for experienced Confined Space / Gas Tester / Rescue Technician with previous experience within the oil and gas industry.

• The shutdown is located in Darwin however we welcome candidates Australia wide
• All flights, accomadation and meals provided
• 4-6 week shutdown
• Shifts (day and night - shutdown runs 24/7) 5:45am/pm-6:15pm/am
• Some training may be required online or for you to come to Melbourne.

AGT - Hygiene Technician Role & Responsibilities

• Explosive gases and oxygen level measurements
• Toxic measurements, including use of colorimetric sampling tubes
• Perform real time volatile organic compound monitoring
• Reading and evaluating gas detection results
• Classifying hazardous areas and substances
• Raising alarms during emergencies in accordance with the emergency plan
• Perform cold and heat stress surveys
• Perform onsite gas mapping and generate reports on findings
• Work in accordance with an issued permit
• Clean, provide before and after use maintenance of onsite equipment to manufacturer's recommended specifications
• Reconfigure equipment to suit changing site requirements
• Equipment familiarisation training
• Daily download and store data from detectors - Occupational data reporting
• Liaise with the site safety management team to identify needs, or special requests

What you need:

• Strong commitment to safety with a positive attitude towards safety policies and procedures.
• Required to meet requirements of a full medical, drug and alcohol test
• Minimum Qualifications
  Gas Test Atmospheres (MSMWHS217) within 2 years
  Enter Confined Space (MSMPER205) within 2 years
  Work In Accordance With An Issued Work Permit (MSMPER200) within 2 years
  Operate Breathing Apparatus (MSMWHS216) within 2 years
  First Aid within 3 years (including CPR within 1 year)
