Registered Nurse
Total Ear Hygiene
Posted 2 days ago
Sick of hospital shifts and meaningless buzzwords? Come clean ears instead.
👂 Registered Nurse – Ear Cleaning Specialist (Casual, 1–2 days/week) 👂
Start your cover letter with “I love dirty ears!” or don’t bother applying.
We’re not your average clinic. Total Ear Hygiene is a nurse-led ear cleaning service in Brisbane where we take our work seriously—but not ourselves. We’re efficient, professional, and a little bit cheeky. Our patients love us because we actually fix their problems without the fluff. And we’re growing.
We’re looking for a Registered Nurse who:
Has excellent clinical judgment and strong interpersonal skills
Can work solo in a calm, confident, and meticulous way
Is eager to learn and safely perform all ear cleaning methods—manual removal, water irrigation, and micro-suction (you’ll be trained in each)
Finds satisfaction in a well-cleared canal and a patient who can finally hear again
Understands the value of consistency, punctuality, and being able to think on their feet
🧠Experience in general practice, ENT, or wound care is great—but not essential. If you're sharp, teachable, and serious about doing great work, we want to hear from you.
📍Location: Our main clinic is on Brisbane’s south side, but we’re planning a northside clinic in the near future. If you're based on the north side and happy to travel while training, you’ll be doing us a favour—and positioning yourself well for long-term work closer to home.
📅Schedule: Casual, 1–2 days/week to start
💰Pay: The hourly rate is nothing to write home about—but we do offer a solid bonus for every patient you see over the daily minimum. And unlike most places, you’ll actually be thanked for working hard.
🔒Future: This role is intended to grow into a permanent position once you're trained and working independently—and once the new clinic is open.
TO APPLY:
Send your CV and a short cover letter (starting with “I love dirty ears!”) to us. This is important, because we want to see if you can follow instructions. Demonstrate your eye for detail by also telling me where the spelling error in this sentance is.
And please, skip the generic buzzwords. We don’t want to read “I’m a dynamic nurse with a passion for patient care.” Instead, tell us who you really are.
Where are you at in life? Sick of hospital hours? Want more autonomy? Craving something different?
We’d rather know why this role speaks to you, and why you think you'd be a good fit for us.
