We’re looking for someone with commercial nous – with some NFP exposure – and a commitment to innovation, authenticity and continual improvement. As with many charities today, turnover among (casual) personal support workers and staff is too high – and engagement levels too low.

We need someone who really knows their stuff – IR, award interpretation, grievances, investigations, visa sponsorship and all general recruitment, team building and retention and can seamlessly apply this to a moving population of some 800 workers, a large majority of whom are casual workers.

In addition to requiring professional expertise, this role calls for a visionary leader… a market proven HR professional with a relaxed approach, great sense of fun and all the clues on how to keep a workforce committed and contented. Games? Challenges? Projects? Mentoring? Recognition? Rewards? Training? Personal support? Development? And of course AUTHENTICITY, your call.

It sounds light-hearted – and in part so it should be. But, on the bottom line, it’s also about creating a culture where all workers feel personally appreciated and needed.

These carers help hundreds of Queenslanders get out of bed each morning. Literally.
