As the Team Leader – Inclusive Employment and Workplace, you will oversee Employment and Career Development, Traineeships and Pathways, as well as NDIS School Leaver and Employment Services. You will drive initiatives that promote sustainable employment, enhance skills training, and forge strong partnerships with businesses committed to diversity and inclusion.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage employment programs to ensure alignment with Ability Advocates’ mission and objectives.

Employment & Career Development: Oversee services that support individuals with disabilities in securing and maintaining meaningful employment.

Traineeships & Apprenticeships: Manage Inclusive Traineeships Australia, supporting individuals in customised apprenticeships and traineeships with employer partners.

NDIS School Leaver Employment Services: Oversee employment pathways for NDIS participants, guiding school leavers toward sustainable careers.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with businesses, training organisations, and community partners to expand employment opportunities.

Program Development & Enhancement: Innovate and refine employment and training programs to ensure effectiveness and lasting impact.

Compliance & GTO Accreditation: Manage compliance with NDIS employment policies, GTO registration requirements, and national apprenticeship and traineeship standards.

Quality Frameworks Management: Oversee adherence to workforce development frameworks, ensuring high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Support and mentor employment consultants and program facilitators, fostering professional growth.

Key Skills & Capabilities

Strong leadership and program management skills.

Experience in employment services, workforce development, or vocational training.

Knowledge of NDIS employment programs, GTO operations, and apprenticeship regulations.

Ability to engage stakeholders and foster strong business and community partnerships.

Experience in quality assurance and compliance frameworks related to workforce development.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Strategic mindset with problem-solving abilities.

Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and empowerment.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience managing NDIS employment programs, traineeships, and apprenticeship pathways.

Background in quality assurance and compliance monitoring within employment services.

Familiarity with GTO accreditation requirements and reporting processes.

Ability to travel for stakeholder engagement and program delivery.
