About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, The Dock Hospitality Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead the launch of this new, exciting venue and oversee the ongoing operations of our new flagship destination venue in the heart of Port Adelaide.

As General Manager, you will ensure operational excellence, deliver outstanding guest experiences, and drive business success through strategic leadership and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Venue Launch & Operations

Lead the preparation and successful launch of the venue

Oversee day-to-day operations across food & beverage, events, and service.

Implement systems and procedures to maintain high operational standards.

Leadership & Team Management

Provide strong leadership and direction to the entire team.

Recruit, train, and mentor staff in line with our brand values and service standards.

Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

Financial & Strategic Management

Manage budgets, forecasts, KPI’s, and inventory.

Drive financial performance and profitability.

Develop and execute strategies to achieve business goals.

Customer Experience & Community Engagement

Champion an outstanding customer service culture.

Create a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere for guests.

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and the local community.

Marketing & Business Growth

Design and implement marketing and promotional campaigns

Monitor industry trends to identify growth opportunities.

Integrate tourism and events to attract foot traffic and enhance the venue's destination appeal.

About You

You will bring:

5+ years of experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role within hospitality

Proven experience in venue openings, staff onboarding, and systems implementation

Expertise in restaurant, events, and F&B operations

A deep understanding of tourism-driven hospitality and event integration

Strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving revenue

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Hands-on approach and a commitment to customer service excellence

Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Creative flair and experience with marketing and promotions
